Is this only for wedding anniversaries?
No. It works just as well for a dating anniversary, an engagement anniversary, or any relationship milestone, not only the day you got married.
Do we have to choose the city where we met or got married?
No. Many couples choose the city where they met or where they got engaged, but the city where you live now, or where you built your life together all work just as well.
Is this different from the 5th Anniversary or Wood Anniversary maps?
Yes. Those two are built specifically around wedding anniversary traditions and milestone years. This one is for any relationship anniversary, wedding or not, without tying it to a specific year or material tradition.
How far ahead should I order?
Production takes 2-5 business days and delivery another 3-14 days, so order at least two weeks before your anniversary date to be safe.

How This Map Is Made
This is a handcrafted, 3D layered wooden map, built from laser-cut wooden layers, stacked and hand-assembled into a single piece. The bottom layer represents the water, finished in blue with visible wood grain (or left in its natural wood tone), with room on its reverse side for a custom engraved message. Above it sits the land layer, cut to shape in its natural, light wood tone. The top layer is the street grid, cut with precision and finished in a darker brown, showing the real layout of roads. A personal icon can be added to mark a specific location on the map, such as a home, a first date, or a favorite spot, and a custom message can be engraved along the bottom front margin. The whole piece sits inside a solid pinewood frame, available in four finishes: natural pinewood, walnut varnish, mahogany varnish, or black stain, and protected by acrylic glass. Available in sizes from 8"x8" to 34"x34", ready to hang.
